Having undertaken to lengthy application process online, the student has been offered an interview and will be travelling up to the ExCel Centre in London tomorrow (04/05/11) to meet with some other hopefuls and potentially earn himself a place in the Press Team for the Olympics.
Having been alerted to the opportunity by one of his lecturers, Billy knew it was a chance he couldn’t afford to miss out on, saying: “I thought it would be a really good experience, a really good learning curve, it will look great on my CV and it’s obviously a huge event to be part of.”
It’s a field the student from Maidstone is interested in moving into, too. He said: “I really enjoy my sports so to be involved in something like that would be great.”
